University of Maryland graduate, Amanda Nachman ‘07, founded College Magazine during her senior year with the advisory assistance of the University’s Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship. Nachman partnered with Les Kollegian from Jacob Tyler Creative Group in 2008 and went on to win the University of Maryland’s Cupid’s Cup Business Competition, sponsored by Kevin Plank, Founder and CEO of Under Armour in 2009.
We have an ambitious and talented student team of editors mentoring over 40 staff writers, bloggers and photographers from universities nationwide. While providing our team with publishing and journalistic growth opportunities, we’re able to provide our readers with genuine advice to help them make the most of their college experience. Our goal is to inspire and guide students to achieve balanced success in both their academic career and social life.
We realize that college students have a lot of needs: from textbooks, to dorm room gear, to the latest gadgets, to the snacks and beverages they love to the shoes that get them to class. College Magazine offers advertisers a unique and multi-media approach to connecting with college students. These are our future leaders and decision makers— they deserve their own magazine.
